Final Scrapz Weekly Challenge

This is my last weekly challenge as guest designer over at Scrapz. The theme for this week is White and I have the What's Cooking challenge, so a list of ingredients to follow with some added criteria, all the details can be found here.

Here is my final layout:

A picture of Lily from her christening, after she was out of her gown. I have used Echo Park Springtime papers, Prima & Kaisercraft Roses and gorgeous new chipboard swirls from 2 Crafty!!

I had such fun as guest designer this month. It has been a lot of fun coming up with ideas for the challenges based around each weeks theme, which are always so fun to play along with.

Pyjama Day

Zane loves his pyjamas and loves to have pyjama days where he gets to hang around and play inside or out in them all day long! He doesn't get too many opportunities but he still loves it.  So when I got the criteria for this weeks challenge at Scrapz I knew straight away I had to scrap about pyjama day!

The theme is Pyjamas and my challenge is the Paint A Rainbow challenge to use this colour combo:

Red, green and yellow on Black cardstock! With the added criteria to scrap about something you or someone likes to wear that is comfy. The challenge can be found here

And here is my page:

The previous week I had the Scrap it Blind challenge, which I forgot to blog... Anyway here is my completed layout for the theme Patchwork. The criteria was to use stitching and the option to scrap about someone being patched up:

I have one more week as Guest Designer at Scrapz for the month, it has been lots of fun! Will post the final layout Thursday.

Crop Day Layouts

The weekend before last I went to a crop day held by All About Scrapbooks. I have finally gotten around to taking photos of them yesterday as the weather was too bad last week.  Once again I was not very productive and only managed three layouts. Still it was fun!

This is my favourite one, probably because I love this photo of Zane graduating from preschool last year - it is even cuter because his cap is on back to front.

This next one started off as the colour challenge for White with 1 which I have never played with and I think I can't limit myself to one colour!  It HAD to have black on it too:

(Hmm just realised I had intended to add some journalling to this, it was Zane's first school party for the year).

And finally the last one of Zane & Lily at a Circus Party last month. Colouring the chipboard with copic markers took me ages, but I was finally happy with the result - it just needed glitter :)

Thanks for looking

My Sketch Challenge for Scrapz

This week is my second week as a Guest Designer at Scrapz and I am doing the Fetch A Sketch challenge. This week's theme is Knee Deep which was just perfect for the photo I had in mind, a nice summer one to keep the reality of winter at bay for just a little bit!! To coincide with this weeks theme, the added criteria is to use the name of a body part in the title or journalling of your layout.

This is the first time I have ever done a sketch that wasn't a scribble on a sheet of paper, I eventually worked out how to do it.

And this is my layout based on the sketch. I have used the fun Echo Park Splash papers and embellishments as well some super cute 2crafty chipboard bunting.

And yes I am still loving scrapping the older photos!

A few layouts to share

Just a few different layouts I haven't posted to my blog yet for various reasons. A few from the crop day I had a couple of weeks ago:

One of Zane and his beautiful, big, blue eyes

Lily at the beach, covered in sand from head to toe as she tends to manage to do all the time! I have attempted to play with paint on this, I think I could of spread it out a bit more, but it's a bit late for that!

And the last one is an older photo of Lily. I have found a few older photos  I really want to scrap at the moment. This one is a cute but imperfect photo and I think that is why I never scrapped it before! She used to walk around playing peek-a-boo a lot.

And I was ging to share last weeks scrapz challenge page, but my photo was too dark as I finished it late on the night they were due, so will have to take another photo of it and post it another day.

Scrapz Guest Designer

I am very excited this month to be the guest designer at Scrapz. They have challenges every week with a different theme and awesome prizes which are awarded randomly so everyone can play!

This weeks theme coincides with the start of winter and  is Brrh! I am starting the month off with the Noteworthy challenge which is a card-making challenge, but you can do a layout if you wish.  When it gets cold out it is time to layer up the clothing, so my challenge this week is create a card with lots of layers. I have layered the papers and also the ribbons to create this card:

I have used the gorgeous Crate Paper Emmas Shoppe Products from the store. I totally love this range.

Thanks for stopping by
