I played along with one of the Stuck sketches this month, great sketch for these two little photos I had taken on my phone one night when Zane discovered he could actually read a whole book on his own. He was so surprised even though we had been doing school readers for about 6 months.

Here is my, pretty literal, take on the sketch

The funky 2crafty stars have printed transparency behind them, not sure that shows up so well in the photo!

Playing catch up!

Oops, been a while since I update my blog!! Time to play catch up with posting and visiting!

First up, my layout for the 2Crafty blog which can be seen here. This saying is something I am always telling my two, they are both veyr affectionate and want to be the favourite, I think they are finally getting that I don't have a favourite, but that they are BOTH my favourite.

I used the 2crafty filmstrip for this, just shortened it a little to suit my page, and I finally got some of the gorgeous Manor House flowers - love this one!

Next up are two layouts that I taught last Saturday at All About Scrapbooks monthly crop day. The first one was about utitlising the papers to make simple embellishments, with a focus on the banner. (And some 2crafty of course!)

The second layout was using the paper scraps from the first page and just adding a couple of embellishments.

2Crafty DT Layout

My first layout for the 2Crafty blog went up yesterday. Here is the page I created using one of my favourite 2Crafty chipboard pieces the Ariels Spray as well as a super cute little birdcage

You can check out my introduction along with the other talented DT girls over the next week here.

February Scrap the Girls

The new challenge for February is up over at Scrap the Girls. This month the criteria is:

The word LOVE in the title
The colour TURQUOISE
& chipboard

And here is my sample layout:

I love this photo of Lily I took earlier this year, really shows just how gorgeous her hair is!! Loving the websters ribbon in this and the gorgeous 2crafty chipboard frame.

We have actually cut her hair since this photo, but just a trim before she starts school!
