Stuck Sketches June

I was so excited when I saw the first sketch this month over at Stuck Sketches as it was perfect for a very special photo of Lily & I that I have had for a long time but just hadn't worked out how I wanted to scrap. Last month I had it out and was thinking of using a heart to frame us, but that is as far as I had got till I saw the fantastic sketch here.

And my layout

I am so happy with this page, especially how well my twine heart turned out. Nice and clean focussing on the photo I love so much!

I have used some cute handmade embellishments, gorgeous pinwheel from Rainbow Splendour, fabulous doily and twine from Purple Pumpkin and beautiful dainty ballerina button from Lovelybug Bits n Bobs!

Thanks for visiting

A couple of Layouts

Hello everyone

Today I am sharing a couple of older layouts I realise I haven't yet shared.

First up, Hello Supersized Kitty!! I ordered this balloon online for Lilys 5th birthday, as she fell in love with Hello Kitty when we visited Hong Kong last year. I had no idea it was an air walker, it was huge - but she LOVED it!!

Lots of Purple Pumpkin on this one, buttons, doilies and twine.

My next layout is of Lily at the beginning of last spring. I was trying to capture the rays of the sun behind her in the photo.

The cute sun is from the 2Crafty weather bits set and I have also used some super cute Rainbow Splendour pieces on this layout, the pinwheel and the doily.

Thanks for stopping by

Googly Eyes

My turn to post again over at the 2Crafty blog. Here is my layout, a fun page from recently when Zane and Lily were playing with some face stickers and we added some eyes to my glasses. I snapped pics using instagram and then decided to use the 2Crafty polaroids to keep the instagram idea going.

I I found some eyes in the kids craft stash and stole them for this too !!

Thanks for stopping by, I have found a couple of layouts I have forgotten to share so will be back with those in the next day or so.

Don't Follow your Dreams, Chase Them

Last month I taught my usual class at my monthly crop day with All About Scrapbooks. A very girly page as well as a card! I don't normally make many cards, but I just incorporated the same design as the layout and was happy with the result.

The technique on this was using border punches to make frames. I have incorporated this on the card as well:

As always a great class of girls, will miss this months crop as it is on my birthday. But will be back with a class for July.

Some 2Crafty shares

Raining and pouring in Sydney today, a great day for scrapping, unfortunately we have a council clean up on so I am busy trying to get rid of as much junk as I can! Waiting for a break in the weather to get it out there!

I do have a few layouts to share that have gone up on the 2Crafty blog this week.

The first one is my boy version of the interview style layout I did a few weeks ago of Lily. This one was done when Zane turned 6 last November.

I have used the 2Crafty barbed wire and number 6 on this layout, as well as vinyl cogs from Purple Pumpkin and a Charms Creations super star! The journalling reads:

The next layout is a summer one , inspired by lots of gorgeous 2Crafty pieces - surfboards, shells & a Catching Waves title. I have done a little bit of a few techniques, which you can read about here.

I will be back in a couple of days with some recent layouts I haven't yet shared.

June Scrap the Girls

New month and a new challenge over at Scrap the Girls! This month the challenge is an easy one, scrap outdoor photos - we all have plenty of those!!

Here is my sample:

I created the background on this layout using bubble mix and food colouring. I combined them and then blew bubbles directly onto the cardstock. I am very happy with how this turned out. I then followed the circular theme with using paper that had circles cut out from it.

Of course I have also used some 2Crafty pieces - the fence and the frame!

Make sure you check out this months STG challenge and all the gorgeous other CT entries here.
