Stuck?! Sketches - Mums Day

I've managed to sneak in one more challenge before the month ends. This layout is for the July 15th sketch over at Stuck?! Sketches here. Love this photo of my mum, the kids and I on Mothers Day this year. Love a good sketch to make a page come together quickly.

I've used MME Dilly Dally range as well as some Cosmo Cricket paper and some 2Crafty flourishes. Love this pom pom trim, reminded me of the little flowers on the background paper.

Looking forward to new challenges tomorrow
Thanks for visiting and your lovely comments.

KIU - Bucket Lists

Decided to play along with a few challenges this month. This one is for KIU's challenge: to scrap a layout that tells a story of something you want/wish to do in the future. The layout has to include journalling.  As soon as I saw this I knew exactly what I wanted to do.

I have always wanted to travel to Europe, it is something I regret not doing pre children. Paris has always been the main city I want to visit - ever since high school french.

I immediately decided to use the gorgeous Eiffel Tower chipboard piece from 2Crafty as the main focus for my layout. I have inked and embossed it  till it dimpled then rubbed it over with some black ink.

I used a photostrip to represent a passport style photo and the gorgeous Carta Bella Papers on Kraft of course!

Thanks for visiting

Daring you to Scrap

This is a layout I created for the challenge blog Daring you to Scrap. This months challenge is to use twine & tape.

I have used some MME washi tape for the top and bottom of the layout and some plain twine which I have swirled around the brads.

2Crafty chipboard also features on this, part of the Father & Son Moment title and Frame Zig Zag borders.

Thanks for stopping by

Pages to share

I've been sorting through my layouts and found a couple of recent ones I have shared yet. First up is one I scrapped of our holiday to Fiji a few years ago, I am feeling very much in need of a holiday and definitely somewhere warm!

My next one was for a class I teach at All About Scrapbooks monthly crop days. I love all the rolled pages I've seen around the blogs (especially the beautiful ones Melinda Thompson does)  and thought I would give it a try, love how it turned out. Love this photo of my Mum and I taken on Mothers Day this year and it has the perfect title from 2Crafty!

Thanks for your visit!

Scrap the Boys July Challenge

Decided to play along with a few challenges this month. Today I am sharing one for Scrap the Boys July challenge which is to scrap School photos. Perfect opportunity to get the official school photo done.

This is Zane in his first year of school, the photos were taken in term 4 so he is already a little jaded, can you tell? He doesn't like school too much... He also has some lovely scratches thanks to his little sister.

After 2 weeks of holidays, school goes back tomorrow so hopefully I can finish off the several half done pages I have on the go at the moment!

Cover Boy!

Last Friday we had been enjoying our school holidays and having a fun morning of bowling then we popped into the local shopping centre for some lunch. I ducked into the newsagent with the kids and let out a cry of surprise when I discovered this months Scrapbook Creations magazine with my boy on the cover!!! So very exciting and such a lovely surprise!

Here he is holding his issue:

Last year it had been Lily's turn to grace the cover of Scrapbooking Memories in this post here
Feeling very lucky to have had each of my kids have a turn at being on the cover of mags!!

Dance Concert - 2Crafty

Hello everyone

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend. The kids have wanted to hang at home this weekend which is giving me some scrapping time.

Just popping in with this layout of Miss Lily before her dance concert last year, which I've scrapped for the 2Crafty blog.  Lots of glitter on this one, I love the MME papers, but they are so gorgeous you don't want to cover up too much!

There are some close-ups on the 2Crafty blog which you can find here.

Scrap the Girls - July Challenge

Into the second half of the year already! The new challenge for Scrap the Girls is up here. This month the challenge is Black, White & 1 colour. I chose blue to match Lily's school uniform for this layout.

I've used the 2Crafty Number Vertical, which actually goes up to number 9 but I cut the last few off. I have inked this then stamped it lightly with a grid stamp. Lots of washi tape and a cute Charms Creation lollipop then a few flowers to make it a bit girlier!

Great prizes up for grabs at Scrap the Girls this month so make sure you check out this challenge.
