Crop Day Layouts

Hello all

Today I am sharing a couple of layouts I did at the All About Scrapbooks monthly crop day.

I was backing up my photos the other week and started going through some of the older photos on there. These 2 pics were one of them, just love the grins they are giving each other. I am very lucky having them both so close together and they are just the best of friends.

This photo was from one of our trips into the city during school holidays. I do love our harbour, such a gorgeous place, very lucky to live here.

It's nice to just scrap for the pleasure of scrapping!

Sassy Scrappers Sketch

Hi everyone

The lovely Rikki has come up with a fabulous sketch over at Sassy Scrappers which inspired me to play along for the first time over there.

I had this cute instagram photo of Miss Lily who lost her first tooth earlier this year. It is the teeniest, tiniest of teeth which you can just see her holding in the photo. Also got to break out the gorgeous Maggie Holmes Crate paper for this page - love it.

based on this sketch:

I've swapped out the painted/misted areas for doilies and some scattered bling & flowers. It was nice to play along with a challenge, haven't done so in a while!!

Till next time

Farewell to 2Crafty

Hello everyone

After 15 months on the DT at 2Crafty, it is time for me to say goodbye.

These are my final creations as well as a couple of faves from my time on the team.

My first layout,  Tae Kwon Do. This is a new hobby my kids have started this year, so I recently took some photos of them in their new uniforms. I have used some of the spectacular new releases to create this layout:

I have had the perfect chippy piece for this in my stash for a while, the Chinese Dragon. Isn't he so cool? I have sprayed him with Dylusions inks, loving their matte finish, and then added a little stamping on the edges.

How awesome are these amazing Chevrons Bits? I am totally in love with these, it is a huge pack and I have just used a few. I have inked these in topaz, then stamped them with an oriental font script stamp.

Another new favourite of mine are these very cool arrows from the Assorted Arrows Pack. Once again, a pack full of many different arrows!! My top arrow has been inked in topaz then edged in a brown ink. The other two have been covered in washi tape - one of my favourite fun ways to cover chipboard.

My second layout this month is It's the Simple Things, using the spectacular Dandelions. These are truly lovely and I used them as the starting point of this layout.

Here is a close up of the dandelions. I have inked the stem in a pale green and grey ink combinations, then added a whole heap of flower soft to convey the fluffiness of the seeds. They look just ready to blow away and make a wish on.

I've used one of the amazing chipboard titles, this one It's the It's the Simple Things, perfectly sums up this captured moment of childhood. I have painted the title with metal pink paint for that little bit of shimmer.  I've finished the layout with a smattering of small butterflies , there are 20 of these little butterflies in a pack, just awesome! I have inked these in grey and added some stickles.

And my final share for the month and my final share as part of the DT, is a couple of my favourite layouts from the past 15 months:

Our Sweet Girl - STG April Challenge

Hello everyone

A new months and new challenges. This month at Scrap the Girls we have a recipe challenge:

The ingredients are:

BUTTONS
PAINT/MISTS
HEXAGONS

This is my interpretation;  I tried to keep the paint to a minimum - have just used it around the edge of my layout and dabbed some on the title. The hexagons are in the patterned paper and I have scattered 3 buttons:

Pop on over to the Scrap the Girls blog and check out the gorgeous entries from the rest of the team here and be sure to play along this month!

Inspired Blueprints Sketch #89

Hello everyone

Hope you have all had a fabulous Easter! The kids have enjoyed a nice break from school and loads of chocolate, hopefully that will get them through the next couple of weeks of school before the school holidays.

Another sketch for Inspired Blueprints this week. Love working with sketches! I've used Glitz designs papers for this page, as well as a mix of 2Crafty chipboard, some Rainbow Splendour, Purple Pumpkin and A Lil' Somethin' for some handmade goodness!

Here is the original sketch - I've rotated it and used a larger photo.

Hope to see lots of entries for this one, I love a good large photo layout!
