Puppy Love - All About Scrapbooks

Hello

It's the end of April already, this year is whizzing past!!

This is my last share for the month over at All About Scrapbooks, but my first layout of our new puppy Harry who we got in February. He is so tiny in this photo, compared to the size he is now!! He's a rescue puppy so not sure exactly what he is mix of, but it seems likely he's got some Rhodesian Ridgeback so he is heading for huge!

Scrap Around the World Challenge

Hello everyone

Todays share is a layout I created for the challenge site Scrap Around the World. It's the first time I've played along over there - it's a fab mood board, which gives you heaps of starting points to get the creativity flowing.

Don't Over Think It!:

Ok I didn't over think this one, I used some scrap papers, they're not all straight edges, instead I just stuck them down. I did take a bit of time with the background, reminding me once I again that I do enjoy playing with the mixed media backgrounds and do need to do it more!!

Another perspective:

Some of the detail; masking & stamping, butterflies and twine around the flair button.

The other side, another twine wrapped flair badge and a bit of washi with butterflies. You can just see the green journaling spot which has some hidden advice to myself!

This is the mood board picture:

The title is what inspired me immediately, and I had this perfect photo! The blues from the butterflies and of course the butterflies themselves. The crackle inspired the mixed media background for texture and the coils inspired the twine around the flair buttons.

Thanks for looking

Joining Cubs

Hey everyone

This week, over at All About Scrapbooks, I go to play with the amazing Simple Stores A Charmed Life. This range with its greens, blues and yellows is the perfect colour combo for just about anything!

The first layout I created with this range is Joining Cubs. A layout of my son just before being inducted into Cubs. He was so excited, he really enjoys it! This photo is from last year, I needed the perfect papers to complement that shirt!!

Head on over to the All About Scrapbooks blog to check out some close-ups and the products I have used. I have created 2 layouts using this range this week, I will be back later in the week with the second page.

If you are still visiting I would love a comment, it has gotten quiet around here. Am wondering if it is because of sharing on Facebook too?

Some Kind of Wonderful

Hi everyone

Once a month I teach a class at All About Scrapbooking's monthly crop day. You can find the date for the next one here.

This month I created this boys page, using stamping and masking as the technique, to create this layout:

Some Kind of Wonderful

I've used a mix of Kaisercraft stamps and CW mask to create my backgound, lots of layered papers from Basic Grey Knee Highs and Bowties range, finishing off with a mix of 2Crafty chipboard and embellishments from the Knee Highs and Bowties range.

There are a couple of these kits still available in store here.

Till next time

Kaisercraft Kaleidoscope - for All About Scrapbooks

Hi everyone

This week I have created 2 layouts for All About Scrapbooks using the stunning new Kaleidoscope range from Kaisercraft. Love everything about this collection.

My first layout "My Sister, My Friend" is a photo of my sister and I from when she was down in Sydney last December. Music paper inspired my stamped background - that and the photo was from before we headed out to see Bon Jovi!!

Close-ups on the All About Scrapbooks blog, including some lovely detail on the heart using some translucent embossing paste.

My second share this week, is of Miss Lily. I wanted a photo where she isn't smiley a cheesy fake smile for a change - she seems to have a camera "smile" lately.

I've continued the music theme from the other papers using the 2Crafty music piece. Love the colour combo of Kraft, Black and Pink.

Face Sculpture - Layout with Kaisercraft for All About Scrapbooks

Hello everyone

For Tuesdays post this week for All About Scrapbooks, I have shared a layout using Kaisercrafts Blubelle Collection from their March release. As well as lots of pretty florals, this range has a very cool triangle print on some of the papers that I was very drawn to and have used to start my layout.

I've chosen a plain patterened paper for my background so to add a bit of zest to the layout,  I have inked over a crafters workshop triangles template to extend the triangle design of the patterned papers.

Loved this awesome sculpture in the Boboli Gardens in Florence. So many cool sculptures throughout but this one was pretty amazing!

Pop on over to the All About Scrapbooks blog and see some close-ups and full product list.

Thanks for your visit
