Fun in the Sun

Hello everyone

My last post for the year over at All About Scrapbooks went up yesterday, and I finished the year with a summer themed page as we enjoy the Summer holidays over the Christmas/New Year period.

Fun in the Sun

Love the cute sun rays on this October Afternoon paper, I cut it up and layered it over the printed text paper to give it a bit of depth, before layering up the other papers and photos of this fun day we had up in Townsville visiting my sister and the kids cousins!

There are a couple of close-ups and list of products used over at the All About Scrapbooks blog

Thanks to everyone for visiting over the last year, wishing you all a safe and healthy 2016, enjoy the New Years festivities and sparing a thought for those who have to work tonight like me!

Till next year

A little bit of Christmas

Hello everyone

Popping in before the year is out to show some Christmas themed layouts I have created for All About Scrapbooks, both for the blog and for our December crop day.

My first layout is from the December crop day class at All About Scrapbooks:

This was a fun and simple double page layout to get those Christmas Morning photos scrapped! So easy with a few strips of paper and Simple Stories Elements stickers, a 2Crafty chipboard title and some sequins to bling it up a bit!

Then I created these simple cards with the leftover pieces

Another Christmas layout I shared this month was using this super cute paper in non tradtitional Christmas colours. When I saw this cute reindeer paper I knew it would be perfect with this photo from a few Christmases ago!

You can see more close-ups and products used over at the All About Scrapbooks blog.

Crate Paper Shine for AAS

Hello

I've had the pleasure of creating a couple of layouts using the brilliant Shine Collection by Crate Paper over at the All About Scrapbooks blog this month. So many fun colours in this collection inspired me to design two birthday layouts!

My first layout - Best Day Ever

Love, love this photo I took of my son on his 10th Birthday! So fun and he had a wonderful day, calling it the Best Day Ever - so I took that as a sign to use the fab wood veneer piece in the collection as my title. The numbers paper was perfection too, as it was numbers 1-10 and I was able to cut out a large 10 from the paper to use as an embellishment

My second layout using this collection is also a birthday themed layout, though this person isn't quite so thilled!

Party Hat

This is Harry on his second birthday which is a few days after Zane's (based on a guess as he is a rescue pup). As you can probably tell, Harry is not a fan of having hats put on him. Thankfully he was resting on the lounge when I attempted this, so he is not too thrilled but at least he didn't try to eat the hat!

The pinky red of my lounge & blue in Harrys hat made this paper collection the perfect choice and I've added some fun yellow to the mix too.

Both layouts can be seen over at the All About Scrapbooks blog; here and here.

Echo Park Wild Life

Hello everyone

Two layouts created for All About Scrapbooks using the fabulously outdoorsy Wild Life Collection by Echo Park.

Dude:

To create this layout I used a plain wood grain paper and a Crafter's Workshop mask - Aspen Trees, which I have inked over to create my background paper. I then used these gorgeous 2Crafty chipboard pieces that match with the berries in the white paper and inked these in a combination of orange, green and brown inks, before adding some more embellishments in oranges, greens and browns.

My second layout is titled, Happy Campers

I've used this cool background and added some sequins and tiny stars to the background. For my layout design I wanted to keep all the main elements contained in the circle, including the title and subtitles which I have attached to the circle frame itself.

You can see close ups of both these layouts over at the All About Scrapbooks blog.

Favourite City - SUYS November Challenge

Hello everyone

I spent Friday night online, checking out Pinterest and reading reviews on TripAdvisor planning the Paris part of our trip next year. Saturday's news was devastating, so much tragedy in so many parts of the world, but I will admit Paris hit me hardest in light of planning our return trip there.

Then I happened upon the latest challenge over at Show Us your Stuff and it was a travel theme. Perfect. As soon as I saw it I knew exactly what I wanted to scrap, a photo from my last visit to Paris.

This is the challenge:

Favourite City

The map paper is from October Afternoons Travel Girl range and is a map of Paris. If you look to the left of my photo you can see I have placed it next to the Eiffel Tower on the map! My travel words are from Kaisercraft's Wanderlust collection - love this paper with various words.

I've used a few different handmade embellishments on my page. This stunning heart from Charms Creations

and this adorable conversation bubble from {scrAp-this!}

and the wood veneer word favourite (it's so nice to be able to use this word without the american spelling) from Flutterby Designs, which I have inked and added a small red heart in place of the tittle (the dot) in the letter "i".

October Class for All About Scrapbooks

Hello everyone

Today I am sharing a layout I created for my monthly class at All About Scrapbooks. Last month I created using the gorgeous Crate Paper Wonder collection.

Life Documented

I love the houses paper, it is just fabulous and was the inspiration for my layout. I wanted to scrap some everyday moments at home and thought some of chores would be good! Unfortunately to find a photo I had to go WAY BACK! Lol.

Edited to add: As I was typing this Lily was doing this:

Good timing!!

Besties Everyday:

Love the corrugated board paper - looks like the real thing without the bulk.

Liv It Up

How cool is the vibrant background I created here using Dylusions Inks and some black masking and stamping?

Cocoa Vanilla

Hello everyone

I am very excited to be able to create this month with the stunning Life is Beautiful collection by the new Cocoa Vanilla. Loving the collections they have produced so far, so many embellishments to work perfectly with their papers. There really is nothing else you need apart from some cardstock!!

I have created both of these layouts for All About Scrapbooks this month,  using almost exclusively Cocoa Vanilla products.

Sweet:

I've used a tag, twine, cardstock and some inks and masks, the rest of the layout is all from the Life is Beautiful collection.

and Happy:

A doily, cardstock and a splash of colorshine on this layout, the rest all using Cocoa Vanilla.

Both of these layouts can be seen along with close-ups over at All About Scrapbooks

Hello everyone

This month I have the super cool boy range, So Rad by Simple Stories to create with for All About Scrapbooks. Love the colours in this collection!

Todays layout: Play Hard

Zane is a little obsessed with electronic devices, so a page devoted to his gaming was essential. This range has lots of cute game related embellishments, perfect for these types of pages.

Kaisercraft Fly Free for All About Scrapbooks

Hello

Just a super quick share today of a special photo of Lily and our puppy Harry curled up together on a chair. I've used the Kaisercraft Fly Free collection for this page, as it's gorgeous purple tones went so well with Lily's clothing.

Friends are the Sunshine of Life

I've created my background with some very light but plentiful splashes of Dylusions inks in paper matching colours of purple, teal , pink and orange. I've used the KC Collectibles to embellish my layout and some cute Flair and a gorgeous 2 Crafty flourish to finish off.

Pink Paislee Citrus Bliss collection

Hello there,

A couple of layouts for All About Scrapbooks using Pink Paislee's Citrus Bliss collection that I created for July DT work.

My first layout: Hello Beautiful

I've used a large photo for this one as I wanted the photo to have a lot of impact on the page, then kept with a simple paper design and using a large title as a feature, before adding some smaller embellishments.

For my second layout, Banyan Trees, I wanted to utilize the tropical feel of the collection and scrapped some photos from a recent trip to North Queensland.

My kids and their cousins in amongst the awesome Banyan Trees that decorated the Strand in Townsville.

Loving the tropical orange, pinks, yellows and greens in this collection and the cut wood veneer embellishments.

Crate Paper Confetti

Hello everyone

Almost forgot to share these layouts, these were the last of my May layouts for All About Scrapbooks. I got to play with the pretty Crate Paper Confetti collection. I adore this collection with it's pops of gold.

Two of a Kind

This background paper was super busy, but so fun so I used some of the plainer patterns to build up some layers for my photo.

The next page is, Always Cute

Same day, single pic of miss Lily. These papers went so nice with the first photo I used one with similar colours again.

That's all for now

Travel Layouts with Pink Paislee's Atlas collection

Hello everyone

Now I'm almost all caught up. Today I am sharing two layouts I have created this month for All About Scrapbooks using the stunning Atlas collection by Pink Paislee. Love the colours in this collection so much.

My first layout, Tower Bridge

I'm slowly getting through the Europe trip layouts - almost 2 years on!!

For this layout I created my background using Gelatos and colour matched it to the papers I was using, and the diagonal design was influenced by the paper you can just see under my photo.

I've stuck closely with the matching embellishments for both layouts, using the Atlas ephemera and luggage tags.

My second layout, which is currently on the All About Scrapbooks blog is:

View from the Top

This photo is from our trip to Hong Kong back in 2011 - I've had this photo printed out for so long but never liked any ranges with it till now.

The background on this layout was created using watered down Dylusions Sprays, then some light stamping. I've combined a couple of other travel ranges on this layout - the wood veneer are from MME Hello World range and also some stickers from Jillibean Soup's Sightseeing Stew range.

You can see both of these and close ups of my layouts on the All About Scrapbooks blog. While you're there be sure to check out the new look to the shop with it's great prices on the latest ranges.

May Layouts with Kaisercraft

Hello

My May layouts created for All About Scrapbooks, using the latest Kaisercraft collections.

My first layout Do Your Thing;  created using the Say Aloha collection. These limes and hot pinks were just the right colour combination for this dance photo of Lily's. My title is the title of the song she danced too.

And my second share is created using Kaisercrafts Scrap Yard papers - lots of grungy goodness in this collection.

When Life gets Tough, put on your Skates:

I played on the wording for my tile,  the actual paper strip said put on your boxing gloves, but I thought that was a tad aggressive, so changed it to skates to fit in with my photo ;)

Scrap the Girls - June Challenge

Hello everyone

Well we are now half way through June can you believe it? The second reveal for Scrap the Girls went live yesterday, so popping in to share my DT sample.

Be YOU tiful

I created the background for this layout using the shaving cream marbling technique, but instead I used a wide spatula to mix the colours to create this effect.

The Challenge for the month is to use this mood board:

I've taken my inspiration from the colours and textures of the image to create my layout. I've used a few different textures, starting with the marbled base, doily, chipboard , feather and paper layers.

The challenge runs till the end of the month, be sure to check it out here:

Kraft Plus - Eye of the Tiger

Hello everyone

Well for the first time in ages, I have had time to join in on a scrappy challenge!! Loved this one from Kraft Plus the moment I saw it - apt that I already had my hands on Kaisercrafts Into the Wild collection.

The challenge over at Kraft Plus is to use Kraft as your background plus for Animal Print and Circles.

Here is my take on the challenge: Eye of the Tiger

Yes, cheesy title,  but that damn song wouldn't get out of my head okay? Besides, he does have awesome blue eyes.

These photos are from 2013 when we visited Singapore Zoo and got to see the amazing White Tiger while he was feeding. An impressive and gorgeous animal.

I've used 2Crafty nested Circles on my page to frame my photos, subtitle and some extra animal print paper.  I've inked them then added some crackle paste for some texture. The papers are all Kaisercrafts In the Wild.

Title in white so it pops against the busy tiger printed background. A few splashes of Dylusions inks, some flowers and leaves and little wood veneer to finish off.
